In this group of women, many women who had no farm land of their own, came together and started this self-help group to create their own employment. Chicken cooked on village mud stove along with bread cooked on the same stove, is made available at the stall of his self-help group. The women in this group are making money in four days from their own business more than compared by working in other farms without earning as much money in six months.

Chondiswari Food Products

The specialty of this Chondishwari Food Product is the salty papadi, the spicy peanuts in the Bhel chat, and once you eat the papadi, the taste and its crispness on the tongue leaves you falling in love with it. Recently organised Bhimathadi Jatra in Pune, had this stall which had a record sale and was appreciated for its special taste by Punekar’s. Even today, the papadi is the most loved dish for many food lovers in Kharda and surroundings.

Since Kamal Tai was not able to pay the fees of her daughter, she had no option but to make sure her daughter she gets married, but this incident triggered her do some business herself and the women from local community came together to form this self-help group. The specialty of this self-help group is the non-veg food created by using masala mashed spices at home. And at all the food festivals, their stall attracts maximum crowd to eat delicious chicken.

As a woman, we should not get stuck between kitchen and other responsibilities but stand on own feet, this is the inspiration these women took from Savitribai Phule. And also named their Self-Help group by the name of Savitribai Phule ji. Homemade masala and Ahmednagar style chicken mutton stalls are been put at various places and are doing good sale. Also this is helping them in running their home with their own money.

In the Bhimthadi Jatra, conceptualized by the concept of Sundantai Pawarji , Punekar were doing a special rush to eat Karjat’s special Shippi Aamti on a stall, and that stall was of the Gurukrupa Women’s Self Help Group. Along with her fellow women who make beautiful Shippi Aamti, the women thought that they should came together to form this group so that they can make this dish available to other people , and today these women are successfully running this self-help group.

Siddhi Women’s Self-Help Group

“One can sell diet food to people” was the idea that Kamal Tai and her female co-workers have used and have started selling all the products of Spinach Thalipeet, fenugreek seeds, eggplant, dalbati, in food festivals, in meetings of self-help groups, in yatra and they are getting positive response. And that is why today, with Kamal Tai, all the women are standing on their feet and supporting their house.

They decided to market and sell the special dish of Karjat known as Shippi Aamti at different Food Festivals, and today they are successfully able to setup their small enterprise and make Shipachi Aamti available for Foodies in different districts.

Poha Papad, Wafers, Shave, Sabudana Papad are the food dishes been made by Monika Tote along with her Self-Help Group and sells it. The important aspect of this self-help group is that they have 2 visually impaired women in this group, which today are standing on their own feet thanks to the economic support given by this Self-Help Group. By involving them in the self-help group, Monika Tai has instilled the belief in these two visually impaired women that you can stand on your own feet rather than relying on family members. In 2019’s Bhimthadi Jatra, on the first day, sales of the first day which was 15 went up to Rs 1 lakh.

Aparna Tai manufactures and sells wooden bullocks, wooden saddles and other wooden items. Her life journey which is filled with motivations and struggles is the reason behind starting this business. Within a few years of her marriage, her child passed away due to the electricity shock. The fatal event does not come to life, but it is her In-Laws who confronted her in this situation and blamed her for this incident. All the congregations of the In-Laws, including her husband, left her. In such a tumultuous state, she got up, pushed herself, and borrowed money and started her own business through a self-help group. Today, these bullock carts are made by the nearby carpenter, and she herself paints him and sells them, and she says further that the money and the confidence she gains from the work gives her strength to live in this world. She was able to overcome the body pain which lead to medication cost and mental anguish because of the industry she started from this self-help group.
